"What greater  gift than the love of a cat." --Charles Dickens

Wishbone

Picture
It is pretty obvious why this sweet tuxedo is called Wishbone.  She is gentle, curious, and loving.  Wishbone enjoys her toys and seeks out the nearest human for cuddles.  She does well with cats, dogs, and kids.

Cricket

Picture
Cricket will come find you, bring you her favorite wand toy, rub against your leg and purr. She may also startle at sudden movements and noises and may retreat if approached for pets. Is it shyness or tortitude? Only her future family will find out as she matures and settles in. In her own time and place of her choosing, she is quite affectionate and enjoys pets. Cricket's foster mom says that she loves to wrestle and play with her foster kitten companion and to cuddle with the resident cat, so she would probably be happiest in a home with at least one other feline to be besties with. Because of her sensitive startle response, she may do best in a home with older family members.

Shasta

Picture
Shasta is more than just a pretty face.  She is gentle and lovable.  Shasta will make a great companion for a lucky person.

Ada

Picture
The first time that Ada got stuck behind the washing machine at her foster home we launched massive rescue efforts to retrieve her.  The next 10 times that this occurred, we realized that she could get herself out of this predicament and seemed to enjoy the challenge,  Ada does well with other cats and dogs.  She is loving yet independent.

Clay

Picture
This tuxedo boy is full of charm, love, and curiosity.  He is going to be an excellent companion for the right person.  Does well with other cats and likes older kids.  Clay is playful and full of personality.

Tornado Joe

Picture
Tornado Joe is the life of the party.  If the kitchen cabinet has been opened and a trail of marshmallows is leading down the hall, chances are that Tornado Joe is at the end of that marshmallow trail with sticky paws and a shy smile.  He loves other cats and dogs.  He is rarely found napping alone, but in a cuddle pile with another pet.  Tornado Joe, although mischievous, is so loving that he is easy to forgive.

Annabelle

Picture
Annabelle was a shy wallflower when she first arrived.  She has come a long way and actively seeks out treats.  She knows how to bat toys out of the air and it is adorable.  Annabelle is inquisitive and cautiously explores new places.

Mr. Bean

Picture
Mr. Bean was unsure about people at first.  He has since learned that they give treats and pets.  He enjoys playing with cat toys and is a fan of people that have time for play.  Mr. Bean's standard greeting is squinty eyes and invitations to stroke his soft fur.

Sophia

Picture
Sophia is a playful and gentle companion.  She has been living in a foster home with a small dog and does well there.  One of Sophia's favorite hobbies is birdwatching; her ideal home would have a window perch where she can watch birds come and go from their feeders.

Salem

Picture
Salem is quick to find his favorite spot on your lap.  He loves to take naps and cuddle up close to his person.  Salem enjoys most kitten activities like playing and mischief-making.

Norm

Picture
Norm is usually the big guy in charge.  He loves to play with his siblings, but can push them out of the way to be first in line.  He is super snuggly and looking for someone to binge watch some shows with him.

Gene

Picture
If you are looking for a cat that will follow you around seemingly asking "whatcha doin?", then Gene is your guy!  He is curious, playful, and loving.  He is a handsome buff tabby full of purrs and cuddles.

Solomon

Picture

This sweet little mini panther is about as affectionate as a kitten can be. In fact, we wonder if we should change his name to Mr. Cuddles. Being held, being a nap scarf and desk mate, following around his foster mom, that's all he wants the majority of the day. If you want a feline companion who will love you beyond measure, look no further.

Baxter

Picture
Baxter loves to play with other kitties and be in the middle of the action.  That is, until it is feeding time, when he prefers to be alone.  Cuddles, toys, sunlight... Baxter has a lot of favorite things.  He is loving life.

Adults (over 1 year old)

"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." -- Albert Schweitzer

Honeycutt

Picture
Honeycutt is sweet and gentle.  She is cautious with new people and new places, but will adjust with time.  She enjoys cuddling and playing with her siblings.

Little Man

Picture
Quiet, shy, and lovable.  Little Man gets along well with other cats. He loves to play and spend time window watching.  Toys and treats are his favorite!  Courtesy listing: Little Man is located in Okeene.  He was taken in by a Good Samaritan who has gotten him neutered and vaccinated.  If you are interested in providing him a home, we can get you in touch with him and his caretaker.

Lizzie

Picture
Lizzie is a loving and gentle companion.  She takes playfulness to the next level - Lizzie regularly tries to catch her tail, she likes to bat her toy mouse around (or anything that can be batted around) and she empties the toybox of toys almost immediately after they have been picked up.  She mostly enjoys hanging out in high-up places and taking long cat naps.

Outlaw

Picture
Outlaw has a grumpy cat face, but is ultimately a loving guy.  He loves wand toys and will display somersaults and flips in his high-energy play.  He enjoys being brushed and petted, but all affection with Outlaw is on his terms.  He does well with other cats, but needs slow introductions to all things new and unfamiliar.

Greg

Picture
This gentle guy is a wonderful companion cat.  He is laid back and easy going.  Greg likes to be pet, but isn't demanding of attention.  We think that he may just be perfect.

Sid

Picture
This handsome, buff tabby is Sid.  He enjoys window watching and naps.  He mostly prefers humans that allow for plenty of window watching and napping.  Sid is gentle and friendly, but takes a while to warm up to new places.

Mango

Picture
Mango is a medium-hair orange tabby who is bob tailed.  Mango is super sweet and loves to get all the pets.  She takes a while to warm up to other cats, but is friendly with them in time.  Mango enjoys kids, but thinks that dogs are absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.

Margaret

Picture
Margaret is a sweet and loving girl.  She does well with other cats and gentle dogs.  She is full of personality - likes to cuddle, but is also very playful.

Stripe

Picture
Although Stripe may take a while to adjust to new places, he is ultimately a curious and loving companion.  He loves to explore.  He would be a good recliner companion.  Stripe is likely to do best in quieter households.

Disco Dan

Picture
Disco Dan the ladies man.  This guy is looking for love.  He is a laid back cat who may do best as an only cat.    If adopted by a single person, it is likely that Disco Dan will sabotage any romantic relationship in the future to ensure plenty of time for himself.  Please adopt responsibly.

Pepper

Picture
Pepper was owner surrendered when her parents were having health problems.  That change shook her a bit and she needed some time to come around.  She is a very loving girl.  Purring and getting pets are the best!  If your hands are full, no worries, she will pet herself against your legs.  This beautiful girl is used to a quieter home - does well with other cats and friendly dogs.

Poppy

Picture
Poppy is an incredibly loving and cuddly lady.  She seems to enjoy humans of all ages.  With other cats, she can be oppressive and controlling - she would do best as an only cat.

Rhonda

Picture
Independent but loving.  Rhonda had been living a rough life on the street.  Fortunately, she knew the right person to ask questions of and that human brought her to our care.  With some vetting and groceries, Rhonda is going to be ready for a loving home soon.

Chloe

Picture
This sweet girl enjoys lots of attention.  Petting? Yes! Toys? Yes! Catnip? Yes!  Chloe does well with kids and other cats.  She will be a loving addition to your home.

Aurora

Picture
This beautiful girl has raised some lively kittens and watched them all go to loving homes.  With her mom-job completed, she has set her eyes on finding her own happy ending.  Maybe that is at home with you.

Toes

Picture
Toes would love to find a home with the opportunity for safe, outdoor time.  She is an independent gal who is friendly, but not demanding of time or attention.  Toes is a bit of a legend around here after raising her own litter of kittens last year and then nursing 2 additional litters of orphaned kittens.  She is an amazing cat!

Marta

Picture
Marta is a beautiful tortoiseshell that wants a kind, yet distant, relationship with you.  She allows pets, but doesn't ask for attention.  She doesn't mind you being around, just don't make much of a fuss about it.

Hidden Treasures

Cats are like people; they are different. They defy expectations. They may not run, play, do cute tricks and demand cuddles at that first crucial meeting. But you will find them behind the cabinet, in the cat tree, wrapped in a blanket. They will peek out at you, watch, listen. They do not make their decisions lightly or quickly. Only when they feel safe, will they show you their true selves as loving, generous companions, who appreciate the special person who knows that sometimes it takes patience, time and a whole lot of love to find that Hidden Treasure. Here are ours...

Thor

Picture
Thor is a gorgeous long-hair tabby who enjoys window watching and people watching.  He gets along with other cats, but does not often join in play with them.  He is food motivated and very vocal when he is craving either food or attention.

Jillian

Picture
Jillian is one of our bobtail cuties.  She is a gentle observer of all things around her.  Jillian is playful and gets good use out of her cat toys.  She is shy and can often be found hiding when things get a little noisy or unfamiliar people are around.

Monk

Picture
Monk spends the majority of his time, hiding, watching, and waiting.  He is cautious with his movements and startles easily.  It would be easy to lose patience with a cat who seems so untrusting, yet there will come a time when he will crawl up beside you as if to say, "thank you for loving me".  He will let you pet him and you will hear his soft purr.  You will come to love him, as we do, on his terms and in his time.
