Smokey and LloydThese sweet brothers were very lucky to be adopted together. They are living their dream right now: a man, a lap, and a recliner. What more could they want?
"They are home. And bossy. They love being everywhere we are and are so mischievous. They keep us going. The boys and the dog have come to an agreement. They do what they want and the dog lets them!"--Sherry |

KaiiMidnight (now Kaii) was our first kitten to go for a "test drive" during his adoption appointment. But if you are going to be an adventurer, you need to make sure you are up for it... Kaii said "sign me up" and he has been having adventures ever since!
"It's official! Kaii is our new family member! He really is the sweetest! There is no personal space with him. He loves to lay on you. He is really smart."---Dacee |
Ellie & MazeyEleanor's Christmas wish came true when this young lady came to the adoption center to take her home. Gracie (now Mazey) made such an impression during the visit that a couple of weeks later, their family returned to get Ellie a friend! The sign behind them says "Life Is Beautiful" -- we couldn't agree more.
"Mazey and Eleanor are doing great! They are partners in crime for sure. Thank you so much for letting us adopt our sweet babies!"---Jasie |
HollyThis young gentleman came to our adoption center with his mom and met a lot of kittens... but one in particular seemed to love him as much as he loved her. And that is how Posie became Holly!

HazelAdele, now Hazel, was super sweet from the beginning. She found a perfect family with a lot of time to spoil her.
"She is doing so wonderfully. She's been very playful, cuddly and happy. Wants all the attention she can get! She's a funny and sweet kitty and we love having her around."---Alyson |
ElijahElijah was a handful from the day he arrived - it was like letting loose a puppy in a room full of kittens. Ask any volunteer and they will agree that this little one gave us a run for our money. He was quick to attack the other kittens and lacked the social skills necessary to have any friends. Lucky for him, someone was looking for a cat to live alongside dogs and we knew this had to be his perfect match!
"He is doing great. He is turning into quite the character. We love him so much. Dogs and him are making friends - they lay together. There has been no problem; Dogs are scared of him and he knows it..."---Brenda

PearlPearl was a gentle wallflower that we always sensed got a little overwhelmed by sharing space with other kittens at the cattery. Imagine the joy in her heart the day her new mom and dad arrived to take her home.
"Pearl is our little princess. She is such a doll. We are both so happy to have her and she loves us back. She is still not very interested in her toys, but she loves her little window hammock we set up for her." -- Emily |
Sissy and DudeDude (Toby) was our three-legged wonder that was thrilled to adopt his new family this fall. He instantly warmed up to his new home and even befriended Penny, the Golden Retriever. Several weeks after his placement, Dude's mom returned to adopt his sister (Bennie, now Sissy) so they could be together. We couldn't be happier for these two siblings to have their forever home together!
|
"Dude is sweet and snuggly and has settled in quickly here. We absolutely love him! He and Sissy play together too - and she hasn't been phased much by the dog!"---Christie

MissyMissy's mom set out looking for her perfect cat. We looked at a lot of kittens, but when she held Missy it was obvious that the two had found each other. Missy was able to be fostered by her adoptive mom while awaiting her spay surgery which made for a seamless transition. Wishing you both years of happiness!
"For such a small cat, Missy has a big personality1 She loves to snuggle, play with her brother, climb on her tower, and play with all of her toys. Missy is one of a kind and we have become the best of friends! I also just want to thank the Watonga Community Cat Foundation for helping me find my furry friend!"--Alex |
Jewel and Ms. KittyJewel and Ms. Kitty were part of the very first litter rescued by WCCF. They were the inaugural residents of our cattery and win the award for most mischief caused. But when the time came for them to be part of a family, we nervously bid them goodbye. They are now living a great life with their mom in Oklahoma City. They send emails and updates occasionally to let us know what shenanigans they are up to. Way to go girls!
"They are very good at hiding, lol. They did that as soon as they found a place to do that. They are so much like me, their bday is 2 days before mine so we are all Leo's. I have always been more of a night person, they seem to be as well. They are wonderful cats, I love them so much. Thank you so much." -- Brenda |
A great example of kittens adopting their owners is Harry and Harley. At their new parents' meet and greet, Harley kept climbing up on her new dad's shoulder and perching. Needless to say, that evening they were part of a family in their new home.
"Harry and Harley have taken to their new home quite well (and grown a TON)! They have gotten along with each other, of course, and Harry has also become best friends with my dog Coco 😊 We love them both very much and are so thankful for your organization. Keep up the great work!"-- Sam |
InkyInky was brought in as a young, orphaned kitten. He took to bottle drinking eagerly and was a joy to his foster mom. Since a baby, he has been very loving. We knew from the heart on his nose that he was destined for great things! And we were right, this young man found his mom and moved off to Stillwater. Go Pokes!
"Inky loves his new home. He is so sweet and fits in perfect here in Stillwater." -- Marin |
"As soon as I got home he ran right to me and has been by my side ever since! He's so sweet and playful. He has claimed the big bay window and the loveseat as his. He's calm around all the kids and gives them all cuddles and nose boops every time they sit down. He is absolutely perfect and we just love him!"-- Erica

Lucky and Foxy were both orphans with long roads to recovery. Lucky was found alone in a puddle with a bad upper respiratory infection. Foxy was attacked by a dog and underwent surgery on her back leg. These guys bonded while in foster care and were happy to be adopted together by a pair of young girls in Edmond.

AlexBarley, now Alex, came in to WCCF in poor shape with his two brothers. After a couple of months of medical care and love he was ready to adopt a young lady and start living a good life.
"Alex loves to play with his toys and cuddle. He is gentle. He loves to sit in the window to look outside. He gets a burst of energy and sprints all through the house jumping off the furniture. At bed time he cuddles up and sleeps right beside me. I love him." --- Caylynn |

Autumn (now Tiger Lily) wins the award for the bossiest cat that has been at the WCCF cattery. She kept all of the volunteers on their toes and "supervised" the other cats. Her new mom drove all the way from Perry to meet her and didn't need to meet any other cats... they were smitten!
"Her personality is just perfect for our family."---Traci |
"I have so many new brothers and sisters! Mom is a teacher so all her classroom pets are at home too. My very favorite thing to do is play with my sister Pixie Dust. Mom says we're a pair of wild animals! I also love watching mom's snake and snuggling up with my big brother Tuxedo. If I'm not playing with them or resting, I really like playing fetch with my two human sisters!"---Tiger Lily

NadiaWho could forget our sweet Evelyn (now Nadia)? She came to WCCF as a stray just one week away from having a litter of 6 babies. She was a super mom, but after the kittens were weaned and gone to loving homes of their own, Evelyn got busy searching for her own forever home. She sure got lucky to find her mom and dad in Shawnee and is busy being spoiled daily.
"My husband and I decided to name her Nadia. She is adapting really well! This beautiful girl absolutely loves napping in bed with us and looking out the window. We love her so much!"---Kali |
MangoMufasa (now Mango) was at WCCF for quite some time while waiting to find his family. The exact day that we had decided to apply to transfer him to a northern rescue for a better chance at adoption, we received the application from his now mom. He is a distinguished cat with an amazing personality. He keeps his mom well entertained.

"She loves going for car rides. She is so loving with the kids and the dog." --- Kollena |
AuggieWe always knew that Auggie would get a special home because he was a special cat. When his parents came to meet him at the WCCF cattery it was if he knew they were there to take him home. And he insisted upon this.
"Auggie's new morning routine is hanging out in his new hammock watching birds at the feeder outside his window with his dad. He allows his humans the pleasure of sitting on his couch and petting his belly for hours and hours."---Barbara |
OpalOpal was a timid stray, who really came out of her shell at WCCF. She adopted her mom when she was at the cattery looking for a pet. Opal sat on her lap and started "making biscuits". Now she is living the good life in Elk City. Congratulations sweet Opal.
"She is doing great! She has completely taken over already. She woke me up at 4:30 am yesterday meowing non-stop because she was finally ready for attention and wanted it right then. She loves looking at herself in the mirror."---Kelsey |
PeterPeter is a testament to the life-saving work our fosters do. He came in wild enough that we thought a barn cat program would be better for him. After several weeks in foster, we realized that Peter would make a great pet for the right person.
"He is doing great! He is definitely a cuddle bug in the morning. We have a small box that we got from grocery shopping a couple of weeks ago and he loves laying in it. He's such a sweet boy and we love him a lot! Every now and then he gets crazy bursts of energy where he just runs around the house. He loves treats and his canned food!"---Adria |
RogerRoger was a porch-fed stray here in Watonga that was behaving like a typical non-neutered male cat. He was referred to WCCF after some neighbor complaints. Roger received some necessary medical intervention and proved himself to be an excellent and friendly house cat. Although he was loved by the other cats and volunteers at the cattery, Roger decided to adopt a young lady from Longdale and become "her cat".
"Here's Roger all comfy at home... he's roaming the house and even sun bathes on the front porch."---Amber |
